Alan
Partridge is a fictional character created by Steve Coogan and in this film his
line of work is National television broadcaster. Alan finds himself in the middle of a siege of the studio. Irishman Pat Farrell is a fellow disc
jockey, he has been fired from his job and he takes over the studio. He has hostages and he doesn’t want to communicate
with the police by radio. He also
has a shotgun and he’s very threatening.
I
think this is overlong and would be better if there was progression to another
theme instead of the same situation for 90 minutes. There are funny moments but I question the fact that a
hostage siege is grim and to take it lightly seems ill advised? 2 1/2* (This movie is so-so)
