This
film takes place at an Australian college in the 1990’s. The focus is on Mia, a cinema studies
major and her roommate Alice. Mia
is having a lot of struggles trying to change departments and being hit with
$600 in overdue book fines. She
can’t change without paying money she doesn’t have, she can’t get the
professors to sign off on the form after she pays the money. Her lack of focus causes a breakup between
her and Danni. Alice sets a lot of
rules about the person she wants to date.
They must be left-handed is a major deal breaker? She realizes she is limiting herself in
relationships and this is causing her to have a block in the writing of her thesis.
A very lightweight comedy and the best thing I found about the film is the
accents of the actors. I like
Australian accents and I find myself imitating them when I hear them. I try not to do that in front of people
I am actually conversing with at the time!! Many trials but many friends to meet in college. 2 ½* (This movie is OK)
