This
film is based on a novel by Jonathan Tropper. Four brothers and sisters are brought under one roof after
the death of their father. It’s
their childhood home and their mother says she is in charge even though these are adult siblings. The home is also being shared at this time with spouses,
ex-spouses and could have been spouses.
There
is a lot of talent in this film but it’s wasted on every coarse and crude joke in the
book. Nothing new here and nothing
to see but old material. Also, an overload of unpleasant bickering and a nothing script. How many times can it be funny to watch
a little boy carry around his potty training toilet? How can any of this be elevated to or even be considered entertainment? 2* (I didn’t like
this movie)
