A romantic fantasy based on a short story by Jack Finney, Scot is a young man engaged to be married but he's having second thoughts about the wedding. He buys an antique desk and finds a letter from a woman named Elizabeth Whitcomb hidden in a secret compartment. He becomes fascinated by the letter and writes her a reply using antique writing materials. He's shocked when he receives a reply from the time period of her life in the 19th century.Warning, a Hallmark Movie but I found it enjoyable with likeable characters and a different type of romantic plot. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
