Divorced young adult fiction author Mavis Gary returns to her small Minnesota hometown. She plans to win back her high school sweetheart who is now a happily married father. Unexpectedly she forms a bond with another former schoolmate who has had a particularly difficult life.Mavis is not a very likable person, well suited to young adult fiction since she has never grown up. She finally sees what kind of person she is but then someone tells her she's great? 3* (This movie is OK)
