Poirot
has gone to stay at the Metropolitan Hotel in the seaside resort of
Brighton. His doctor has ordered
him to go for a rest.
Unfortunately, Hercule is immediately and frequently mistaken for Lucky
Len. Lucky gives out money on
behalf of a newspaper to people who recognize him. How is Hercule going to get any peace or rest with everyone
asking him for money? There is a
play being performed at the Grand Metropolitan Hotel where Hercule is staying
with Captain Hastings. The play
features a very valuable and old pearl necklace that is stolen in the script
for the play. Will Hercule take the case when the necklace is really stolen?
This
is good, Hercule never does what he’s supposed to just like Captain Hastings
doesn’t “get” any clues and Inspector Japp always arrests the wrong
person. 4* (I really liked this
movie)
