Mrs.
Paradine is married to an older man who is also blind. Her husband has Andre Latour as his valet,
they served together in the military.
Mr. Paradine is found dead from poisoning and Mrs. Paradine is accused
of causing his death. Anthony
Keane agrees to represent her at her trial. He becomes clouded in his judgment of how to proceed with her
defense by his immediate love for her.
This
movie has so much depth and there is so much meaning in the manner of the
photography. One viewing may not
be enough to take in all the subtle nuances of music and lighting. It’s very interesting to see the play
of light and shadow plus the use of furnishings in scenes. I’m surprised by the low reviews? 4* (I really liked this movie)
