Surprisingly,
Hercule Poirot had one case that he was unable to solve. He stopped in Buenos Aires on his way to visit
Captain Hastings. While
dining, Iris Russell died of poisoning, it seemed to be suicide but her husband
could not believe this to be true. Poirot was set
to investigate the case but was suddenly deported by the police. Iris’ husband is hosting a dinner two
years later on the anniversary of his wife’s death. Everyone from
the original dinner is invited to the opening of a new restaurant with the same name as the one in Buenos Aires.
The same song is being sung during the dinner and there is a sudden surprise
during this dinner too. Will Hercule
be given a second chance at solving this case or has this all gone too
far? 4* (I really liked this
movie)
