A loner teen starts filming video of his everyday
life as an escape from his home life with his abusive father and his
dying mother. His father was a firefighter but he was hurt on
the job, now he drinks and takes his violent frustrations out on
Andrew. With two fellow high school students, Andrew discovers a
mysterious crater that gives them psychokinetic powers. In the
beginning, they don't know how to control or harness the powers but they
learn quickly. They decide ground rules need to be established with
this new power in order to keep in control and not hurt other people.
Andrew gets into a battle with his father and for a change, he comes
out the winner. He needs money for medicine for his mother and he
forgets about all the rules to get money. He ends up hurt and in
the hospital, his father comes to visit him which sets off intense
anger and a rampage.At first, this seems like it is going to be so boring that you will want to jump out a window!! Then, everything changes when this power transforms them. It becomes a roller coaster ride and you don't know anything about the track!! 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
