Curtis begins to experience frightening bad dreams and hallucinations. This is not a good situation for a father and husband. He assumes he has mental illness and he seeks medical help and counseling. While pursuing help, he still fears the worst and he starts to build an elaborate and expensive storm shelter in his backyard. The building and just the fact that the shelter exists start to tear his family apart, threaten his sanity and his reputation in the community. He feels he must build the shelter to save his family's life, he can't let anything stop him and he must continue.
Curtis' mother began suffering from mental illness at about this age, he's very worried that he will need to leave his family to go into full-time care like his mother. Curtis' wife doesn't know what to think? This is good, how is Curtis going to support his family, maintain his marriage and help his daughter with his mind in this condition? 4* (I really liked this movie)
