Megan
is filling in for her father’s advertising sign twirler as a temporary
job. She is 29, she has an
advanced degree, plenty of friends and is still with her high school boyfriend. Megan is feeling stuck in her life, she
needs to go to career seminars but she doesn’t want to. She starts lying about what she’s doing
and she meets 16 year-old Annika and her friends outside a grocery store. They ask Megan to buy them some booze
since they ‘accidently’ forgot their ID’s and they don’t ‘look’ old enough to purchase
for themselves. Megan buys what
they want and then she hangs out with them. She becomes friends with Annika and starts to live with her
to have a real break from her own life and friends.
In
‘real’ life what does a 29 year-old woman have in common with the high school
crowd? Megan is just barely able
to pose as Annika’s mother? This
is a typical slacker movie but this time the slacker is not Ben Stiller!! 3* (This movie is OK)
