Jay
Wheeler is messing up his life. He likes to gamble, he likes to go to strip clubs, he’s on probation for various
offenses and he owes a Mr. Big a lot of money. Mr. Big says he won’t mind splitting Jay’s head open if he
doesn’t have his money by Friday!!
Jay comes from a wealthy family but they are estranged. He decides he’ll attend his
brother’s wedding to hit his dad up for the money he owes. The only problem, he needs a date and
none of the strippers want to go with him? He’s been mopping floors in a mental hospital and he meets
Daisy. She decides she wants to
leave the hospital and Jay decides she will be his date?
There
are a lot of things about this film that don't seem plausible and it seems like an older movie? A mentally ill mother raised Daisy but she has perfect hair,
flawless makeup and she doesn’t know anything about the real world? Jay is supposedly trying to punish his
father by his constant out of line behavior. How does he think Daisy will be able to fit in with his
family? I guess we are not to bother with these
issues, just set them all aside?
Maybe Wood had a lot of fun with this role? 3* (This movie is OK)
