This
film is about a week in the life of Llewyn Davis. The year is 1961 and Llewyn is trying to make it in the
music business as a folk singer in Greenwich Village. Some of his problems are of his own
making, some the rough New York winter and others are circumstances.
I
was going along with the movie and its dry dreary scenes and feeling sorry for
Llewyn until one short scene in a car with a cat. When he turns his back on the cat, even though the cat is
relating how much it wants to go with him, that was the end. Throw Llewyn Davis out the window and
keep the cat!! I know there is a
lot of praise out there for this film and maybe I’m wrong but I just don’t get
it? 2* (I didn’t like this movie)
