Emanuel
lives is almost eighteen and she lives with her father and her stepmother.
Her mother died when Emanuel was born. Her father has been married to her stepmother for just a
year. Emanuel has had difficult time living without her mother and she's not close to her stepmother. Linda moves into the house next door
and Emanuel thinks she looks like her mother. She offers to babysit for Linda’s baby, Chloe.
I
was clueless when I started watching this film. Emanuel tries to make everyone around her fell ill at
ease. She starts the movie off on
an odd note that continues throughout the film. She makes crude, rude, hurtful and untrue comments to her stepmother at the
dinner table. She also doesn’t appreciate anything her stepmother does for her. She meets a boy on the train but he
should’ve run instead of asking her for a date. Both Emanuel and Linda have a lot of issues. 2 ½* (This movie is so-so)
