George
Eastman has been poor all of his life and he hasn’t been able to get very much
education. His family has been
doing mission work and street singing all his life. His wealthy uncle Charles Eastman visits the family and he
tells George to look him up if he’s ever in Southern California. He would be able to give George a job. George hitchhikes to California
and he is able to start out working a job on the assembly line. He starts seeing Alice Tripp, she also
works on the line. At Charles’s
home, George met Angela Vickers and he’s seen her before on a billboard
picture. He meets her again at a
party at the Eastman home. Could
it really be possible that George could have a chance to see Angela instead?
I’ve
seen this film before but it is worth watching twice. It seems that it wouldn't happen that Angela and George would fall
in love but they do. Angela
doesn’t care about George’s lack of education and the fact he has been poor all
his life. She just loves him and
that is all there is to it.
Everything could be really changing for George but he makes a very BIG
mistake. 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
