Ethan
and Sophie are seeing a therapist because they feel their marriage has become
lifeless. They used to have such
fun together and there was a spark between them. Even when they try to recreate events that made them happy,
it doesn’t work. Their therapist
gives them the keys to a beautiful vacation house for a weekend getaway
together. Everything starts off
very well and they are having a fun and romantic adventure. They discover there is also a
guesthouse on the property. Ethan
is the first to learn that when he enters this separate house, different things
happen in this house. At first he
doesn’t understand and he doesn’t believe what is happening. Sophie goes into the house and she also
experiences strange events.
This
film is very different and really gets interesting when unusual happenings
begin to occur. Ethan and Sophie
begin to discuss and compare their experiences.
At first, they want to run away from these houses. Then, they start to become drawn to and
involved with their situation. They
still don’t know what to think or how this will end? 3 ½* (I liked this movie)
