Rick
works full-time as a lifeguard for the beaches of Los Angeles. Even though he’s now in his 30’s, he
still likes what he does and he doesn’t see a reason to change. He’s good at what he does, he saves
lives and he teaches his assistant for the summer about the job. He goes to his 15-year high school
reunion and he looks up his high school girlfriend. He’s heard she is recently divorced and she invites him to
her house. She has a young son and
she works at an art gallery. One
of Rick’s friends tells him about a job opening as a salesman at the local
Porsche dealer. Cathy would prefer
being with a car salesman rather than a lifeguard?
The
hairstyles of the men are funny with the medium long hair look. The teen boys are always causing
trouble at the beach, old men don’t want to listen to the lifeguard and odd
people show up from time-to-time. 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
