This film is based on
a 1904 novel by W.H. Hudson. The time period is 1959 and the story of a woman who lives in the Venezuelan
jungle and she is called Rima the Bird Girl. The local native tribe of this area has captured Abel and
there was a chance he would be killed by them. He is in this area because he has heard there may be gold
and he wants to finance an uprising against the brutal Venezuelan government in
Caracas. Rebels have taken charge,
Abel was nearly killed and his father was killed. He saw the Chief has gold and he sees Rima has
gold. He just needs to convince
them to tell him where he can find gold.
I could not get
interested in this film. It seems
so hazy and farfetched, you wonder if you drank too much caffeine, your eyes
are not seeing clearly or your brain is not working? 2* (I didn't like this movie)
