This
takes place in Malmoe Sweden in 1942, Stig is a 15 year old student.
Even though Sweden is neutral during the war, the residents are still
affected and Stig's brother is serving in the Navy. Viola is 37 years
old and she is his married teacher. Her husband Kjell is a drunk,
depressed and miserable salesman. Stig is attracted to Viola because of
her beauty and maturity. Viola is attracted to Stig because of his
youth and innocence.Surprisingly, the actor playing 15 year old Stig is 21 years old and the son of the director. I thought this was interesting and enjoyable until everything starts going south very quickly and badly. I should've been ready for the pleasant scenes to change. 3* (This movie is OK)
