Harriet is an assistant to Sheikh
Muhammed, he would like to bring the sport of fly-fishing to the desert
of Yemen. Harriet contacts Dr. Alfred Jones, he is an expert on
fly-fishing and the Sheikh's favorite lure is one made by Dr. Jones.
Fred thinks the entire idea of bringing salmon to the desert must be a
ridiculous joke? Political forces in
Britain push him into the project and he begins to believe that this
could really happen. Also as a joke, he asks to meet with the engineers of a
large dam, they show up in his office soon after?I liked this movie, the nice easy pace and the idea that this seems like it can't happen but then maybe it can happen? Blunt and McGregor fit well as a couple but you don't know how this will turn out either? 3 1/2* (I liked this movie)
107 min, Drama directed by Lasse Hallstrom with Emily Blunt, Ewan McGregor, Amr Waked, Catherine Steadman, Tom Mison, Rachael Stirling, Kristin Scott Thomas.
