Esther is having a
tough time fitting in at school, she eats lunch in an empty classroom
by herself and she has no friends. Her mother wants to give her a
birthday party but no one responds to the invitations. Esther tells
her mother that the mailbox must be broken? Esther tries to escape from
her Bat Mitzvah party and she meets Sunni, a cool girl who is
everything Esther thinks she wants to be. Esther begins to spend time with Sunni and her super single mom, she even starts attending
Sunni's school secretly.
Esther is in a real struggle at school and at
home until she finds an opening to a different life.
You really have empathy for her and hope she can make this work. 3 1/2*
