Henry Whipple has
worked hard to maintain the farm passed on to him from his father and
grandfather. His older son left
home to explore the world and to get away from the business. His younger son wants to be a
professional race car driver to also get away from his father and the farm. A GMO (genetically modified organism) seed supplier receives a tip that
Henry has been cleaning and reselling their product. They want to come to the farm to take samples to see if the
allegations are true. Henry has
been seeing a younger woman who decides she likes the younger son better.
Everything is not
fine down on the farm!! The huge
agribusiness corporations have swallowed up the small family farms. GMO seeds have completely changed the
rules. There are a lot of problems
in this film and you want to seen how they resolve but the getting there takes
some work. This has beautiful
scenery and in-depth characters but it seems to slowly meander along and take a
lot longer than 104 minutes. There
are unexpected twists at the end.
