Volunteers in Wisconsin raise money to fly every local WWII veteran to the Washington Memorials in
D.C. Every day, the veterans are
dying from old age or illnesses and the money needed to be raised as soon as
they could. The trip is a profound
event for both the veterans and the volunteers. The vets are heroes again and everyone wants to hear their
stories of what happened to them in the war.
It became one of the greatest days of their lives.
This idea and effort
changed the volunteers, the veterans and their families. These men made
sacrifices that stayed with them for the rest of their lives. The memorials are for these men and
without this effort many would not have seen them or felt the appreciation of
all the people involved. 4* (I really liked this movie)
