Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days 2012

     This is the third in the series of Wimpy Kid films. Greg Heffley wants to spend the summer playing video games all day.  The only way he can accomplish this is to convince his dad that he’s NOT playing video games all day!  This doesn’t work and the family is banned from video games and TV all summer!  His next plan is to spend time with a girl he likes, Holly Hills.  He goes to the Country Club as a guest of his friend Rowley.  This might work out because Holly goes to the same Country Club.  Another snag arises when Greg’s older brother Rodrick decides he wants to go to the Country Club too.  He wants to hang out with Holly’s sister.  How can a guest invite a guest?  They’ve got to make it work.

     Nothing seems to go right but this is funny.  One of the funniest scenes is Rodrick getting mouth-to-mouth resuscitation from a man who thinks Rodrick was drowning.  3 ½* (I liked this movie)
