Jim
Fitzgerald walked out on his family 20 years ago. Now he wants to join them for Christmas dinner. Their mother Jose is opposed to the
idea and she has said she will never let him set foot in her house again. Some of the children never really knew
their father at all. There are a
lot of scars from abandonment for them.
There
is nothing here that hasn’t been done and said many times before and probably
better. This film is full of
sibling discord, parental resentment and old wounds. 2 ½* (This movie is so-so)

Burns, Connie Britton, Kerry Bishe, Heather Bruns, Dara Coleman, Brian d’Arcy

Note: Blockbuster 3*, imdb 6.3 out of 10, 64%

Special Note: A much better film with a Christmas theme is Love Actually.
