This
film is adapted from a 2001 made-for-television feature. Simon is a London art auctioneer working
during the auction of a rare Goya painting. The painting was up for bids when four men enter the
auction hall to steal the painting.
Simon takes the painting back to a safe room but he doesn’t have time to
place it in the safe box. It turns
out he was working with the thieves but he can’t remember where the painting is
after being slugged by the leader of the robbery group. He sees a hypnotherapist to help
recover his memory. The tables
turn again when the therapist wants a cut in the sale of the painting.
There
are so twists and turns in this film that it’s hard to keep track of what is
going on? Added to the mix are
implanted scenes placed by the therapist?
Is it really happening or just in the person’s mind? All this mish mash makes this film not
very good!! 3* (This movie is OK)
