Beth
has been living in Florida but she’s having financial problems. She heads out for Las Vegas hoping to be
a cocktail waitress at one of the casinos. She meets two women who introduce her to Dink, he’s a
gambler with a system. Beth is good
at numbers and she’s honest. Dink
thinks she brings him luck until he starts to lose. Beth meets Jeremy and goes to New York to change her
luck.
I
don’t like the stereotypical role assignments give to the women in the
cast. Beth is the classic dumb bimbo,
Tulip is the trophy money-spending wife, Holly is the dumb blond who steals
money. The bookies don’t
seem to mind when debts and losses aren’t paid back? 2* (I didn’t like this movie)
