Duncan is 14 years
old, he’s shy, his parents are divorced and he has a difficult time trying to fit in with other
people. He goes on a summer
vacation with his mother, her boyfriend and his daughter. Duncan doesn’t know how he will manage to get
through this trip until he bikes to a Water Wizz theme park. He meets Owen, Caitlin, Roddy and
Lewis. Suddenly he starts to fit
in with this substitute family.
They accept him for who he and how he is.
Carell plays an
insensitive and overbearing butt in this film for a different style role. Janney is the summer neighbor you wish
would move away. All the teens in his film have problems. I like Toni Collette as an actress but this film just seems thin? 3* (This movie is OK)
