The
Bordeaux wines have been the leaders in fine wine, associated with wealth,
power and influence. Global
economies play on a role in this too and they can shift quickly. The traditional customers in the US and
the UK are ebbing. China is rising
as the new rich push the prices higher.
A problem with China is they are planting as many acres as possible with
their own grapes.
I
found this very dry! There are a
lot of interviews and pictures of the wine estates but this feels like 145
minutes instead of 75. 2 ½* (This
movie is so-so)
75
min, Doc directed by David Roach, Warwick Ross with Sara Eisen, Debra Melburg,
narrated by Russell Crowe.
Note: Imdb 6.6 out of 10, 95% critic 72%
audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Roger Ebert 3 ½*.
