When the Game Stands Tall 2014

When The Game Stands Tall     This film is inspired by the true story of the De La Salle High School Spartans and their coach Bob Ladouceur.  The Spartans had a 151 game winning streak that broke records.  Ladouceur had a heart attack in 2004 and he was off the field for a while.  Also, one of their best players was killed in a random shooting.  The team loses their foundation and focus.
I think you need to be a football fan to find this interesting?  There are better football movies out there?  For example, Any Given Sunday with Al Pacino and Blind Side with Sandra Bullock.  Field of Dreams about baseball with Kevin Costner.  2 ½* (This movie is so-so)
115 min, Drama directed by Thomas Carter with Jim Caviezel, Michael Chiklis, Alexander Ludwig, Clancy Brown, Laura Dern, Matthew Daddario, Joe Massingill, Jessie Usher, Ser’Darius Blain, Stephan James.
Note:  Imdb 6.7 out of 10, 18% critic 74% audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Roger Ebert 2*.
