The Disappointments Room 2016

David and Dana are a married couple with a young son Lucas.  They move from
New York to an isolated manor in the countryside.  Dana is an architect and the couple plan on making extensive renovations to the manor.  Dana hears noises in the attic and she finds a hidden locked room.  She wonders why the room is not shown on the plans of the house?  She finds the keys for the room and she learns the evil spirit of an old man haunts the room.  A local historian tells her that the room is probably a disappointments room.  When wealthy families had a child with birth defects, the child was locked away in a separate room not to be seen by others.
Dana is suffering from extreme depression because of the accidental death of her infant daughter.  She is susceptible to nightmares, stress, strain and a reaction to the isolation.  Her husband thinks she is delusional.  Some of the things she sees come to her in her dreams.  There isn’t really anything scary in this film, it’s just the music that makes you think it’s scary!!  3* (This movie is OK)
