The characters are very original with a pet chameleon, armadillo, rattlesnake, iguana, cactus mouse, desert tortoise, mole, gila monster, rabbit, owl, raven and hawk. The town is called Dirt and they really need water plus they are under the thumb of a power hungry Mayor. This starts off very well, it's interesting but it seems too long and drawn out. The newness seems to wear off and dissolve into the dirt!! 3* (This movie is OK)107 min, animated, directed by Gore Verbinski with the voices of Johnny Depp, Isla Fischer, Ned Beatty, Bill Nighy, Timothy Olyphant.
Note: Blockbuster 3 1/2*, imdb 7.5 out of 10, 88% critic 71% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
