Underdog 2007

     An ordinary beagle is a bomb-sniffer dog but he makes a mistake at the mayor’s office and he’s fired.  That night a mad scientist injects him with a strengthening elixir.  He can do a lot more things now than a regular dog and he easily escapes.  A former cop but now security guard finds him and takes him home for his son Jason.  Dan Unger has lost his wife and Jason has become very moody.  Dan is hoping Jason will bond with Shoeshine.  At first Jason doesn’t want a dog until he finds out what Shoeshine can do.  He can wreck the house in 5 minutes, squirt chili out of a can all over the place, dig to China, he can talk and he can fly.  How is that for a pet!!

     This is good and it’s very funny.  Underdog flies straight through the partitions in an office and he takes a big hero sandwich right out of a woman’s hand!  He becomes very popular after he begins saving people in distress.  3 ½* (I liked this movie)

84 min, Action directed by Frederik Du Chau with Peter Dinklage, James Belushi, John Slattery, Samantha Bee, Timothy Crowe, Larry Vigus.  The voices of Jason Lee, Amy Adams, Brad Garrett.
