Kingsman: The Secret Service 2014

Kingsman: The Secret Service     This film is based on a comic book from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.  The Kingsman is a super-secret spy organization inspired by King Arthur and his knights.  The members use code names taken from the names of the knights.  One of the men is killed during a rescue mission and the group begins the process of finding a replacement for him.  The latest assignment for the group is to stop a wealthy technological pioneer from zapping the minds of the world’s population.  He will use a cell phone signal to change them and drive them to kill each other off.
This movie had a lot of potential but there is too much blood and violence.  It doesn’t always work to replace plot details with just a lot of filler using killing and kicking?  3* (This movie is OK)

129 min, Action directed by Matthew Vaughn with Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton, Sofia Boutella, Samuel L. Jackson.

Note:  Imdb 7.8 out of 10, 75% critic 84% audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Roger Ebert 2*.
Special Note:  This movie was filmed in London, Surrey, West Sussex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, England, UK and Sydney, Australia.
