Young Jane is raised by her aunt Sarah after the death of her parents. Because of perceived insolence she is sent to a stark boarding school with unusually strict regulations. She finds work at 18 as the governess to the ward of Edward Fochester of Thornfield Hall. Jane and Edward fall in love but a problem is revealed on the day of their marriage. Jane runs away and is taken in by a clergyman and his two sisters.This has been filmed at least 8 other times before but this movie is very good. Wasikowaska and Fassbender really draw you into the story and you feel their emotions. Different casting of Hawkins in her role as the aunt. 4* (I really liked this movie)
