An extensive yearly military exercise with many people and vehicles is being carried out in the Ystad, Sweden
.
During this busy time, Olof and Carolina
are found dead in their stately home. Detectives Kurt and Linda
Wallander (his daughter) and Stefan Lindman are under pressure from
superiors in Stockhold to find out who killed them and why. They are
just gathering the evidence when a man is found murdered in the same
way. In just a short time, another man and woman are
murdered but their young daughter was left at a 7-Eleven type store.
The car that drove her there is found burned to hide any evidence.
They do
receive cooperation and records from the military officers.
This
is good except for the graphic nature of the murders and the fact that
it involves five victims. At least the young girl was not harmed but
now she has no parents. Even the dog at the first home was bound and
taken to a nearby area. 4* (I really liked this movie)
