This
film is adapted from the first book in a six book series by Cassandra
Clare. Clary Fray starts to see
things and people that other people don’t see. Her mother wants to talk to her about what is going on but
she doesn’t get a chance. Clary
comes home, their apartment in New York is in shambles and her mother is
gone. Clary learns through others that
she is a descendant of a line of Shadowhunters. This is a secret group of young half-angel warriors involved
in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.
Another
realm of beings started by the Twilight success.
This time it’s demon-hunting killers. They only kill demons that look like humans? They can magically “see” the demons and
we can’t? This is too long with
too many battles. Enough already!!
Many things are not explained and it’s probably better they are left a
mystery. 2 1/2* (This movie is
so-so)
