World on Fire Episode 4 2019

Lois has returned to England from singing for soldiers.  Harry is leading a platoon in combat abroad.  He is stationed in Louvain Belgium and Germans are quickly sweeping closer.  Gregor and Konrad are still on the run fugitives.  They are sleeping in the forest and Gregor wakes up when he hears a tank approaching.  Konrad shoots one of the smolders and then they are on the run.  Kasia is still leading German soldiers to the resistance to be killed.  She spots an SS officer in church and she chooses him for her next target.  Her comrade is late getting to them and Kasia has to shoot the man herself.  As retribution for the death of an SS officer, 25 Polish citizens are placed in front of a firing squad.  Kasia is guilt ridden and distraught over the deaths of her countrymen and women.  Webster is treating wounded soldiers from the front lines in Belgium.
Albert is receiving all sorts of hate.  One night, there is a red swastika on his door.  Herr Rossler has reluctantly joined the Nazi party to spare his daughter Hilde who has epilepsy.  Douglas also wants to protect his daughter Lois and he goes to see Robina, Harry’s mother.  Previously, Robina and Jan went to see Douglas to tell him that Harry had married Kasia.  Nancy tries to smuggle a story on the Nazi euthanasia program out of Germany.  Hilde Rossler and her mother leave Germany to stay at a lake house.

No one is safe anymore in Poland.  There is a LOT of turmoil in Britain over the fate of the English troops.  Lois is restating her independence about her pregnancy and she doesn’t want help.  Kasia believes she can still continue to bring German soldiers to the resistance but it’s not safe to bring the SS Officer.  Robina doesn’t believe she needs to do anything in the way of support for Harry’s child that Lois is carrying.  Gregor and Konrad join forces with a British army unit since there is usually safety in numbers.  There is a lot of tension in this episode and you wonder how the situation can become worse in Episode 5?
