Waiting for Forever 2010

Emma Twist is an actress, her father Richard Twist is sick and she leaves Los Angeles for her hometown.  Will Donner has loved Emma since they were kids and his parents were killed in a train accident.  After his parents died, Will refused to grow up.  Will and his brother Jim moved away to live with relatives.  He became an unemployed drifter and aimless??   The only thing that didn’t change about him was his undeclared love for neighborhood girl Emma Twist!!  For the last few years Will has been where Emma has been, she just didn't know.  Will returns to their hometown and determines that he will speak to Emma and tell her how he feels.  He is living with his conventional brother Jim, Susan, Jim’s wife and their child.  The family seems to adore their uncle because he is the free-spirited silly uncle.  Neighbor friend Joe and his family are also happy to put up with Will.

This film is unpredictable and there are some tear jerk moments.  For me, it seems like everyone is inside out in this movie, the father is dying but he hurts his wife with his words, Emma's boyfriend is a jerk and it rubs off on her, Will's brother Jim is cruel when he doesn't need to be, Will is arrested for a crime he doesn't know anything about?  Maybe this was made for another Earth and not this one??  Also, somehow this film is strangely unaware of its creepiness plus wouldn’t Will be considered to be a stalker??  2* (I didn't like this movie)
