Hugo 2011

Hugo (2011)     Adapted from The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick.  An orphan boy lives in a Parisian train station, he was sent to live with his drunken uncle after his father's death.  He learned how to wind the massive clocks that run throughout the station and no one knows it's not his uncle doing the work.  He also steals gears, tools and other items from a toy-shop owner until the owner threatens to turn him into the station police officer.
Hugo is alone in his world full of clocks, gears, hiding, sneaking, stealing and spying.  It doesn't change until he meets the goddaughter of the toy shop owner.  Different with remarkable images and color.  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

126 min, Family directed by Martin Scorsese with Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Grace Moretz, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer.

Note:  Blockbuster 3 1/2*, imdb 8.0 out of 10, 93% critic 82% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
