The setting of this film is Hong Kong China of 1962. Chow Mo-Wan is a newspaper editor and he moves with his wife to a new building. On the same day, Su Li-zhen also moves into the same building in an adjacent apartment. Su is a secretary and her husband is an executive who travels a lot. There is a lot going on in this film but it often seems inconsequential. Just everyday life filled with people but also with loneliness. I had to pay attention because of the subtitles but I didn’t want to? I just didn’t see much to watch and think about? 2 ½* (This movie is so-so)
