Endeavour: Season Five: 2018

The setting of this film is April of 1968 and it follows Endeavour Morse in his job as a police constable.  He works alongside his senior partner DI Fred Thursday.  Their team conducts several investigations around Oxford University, Oxford United Kingdom.  The auction of a priceless Faberge Egg is getting underway at Lonsdale College.  Soon after the announcement, the egg is stolen?  Hollywood glamour comes to Oxford and a horror movie begins filming.  Morse is confronted with a possible serial killer and the future of the force is in doubt.  Ancient rites of the autumnal equinox are conducted.  A stray shot accidentally hits a young boy and a German skiing competitor is killed.
All the events in this series are interesting and complex.  The cases are not easily solved right away.  Filming was already underway for Season 6 before Season 5 finished airing in the US.  Probably Season 6 will be released in the UK in early spring and then released for the US in the summer.   Shaun Evans and Roger Allam are both returning as Endeavour Morse and Fred Thursday.  4* (I really liked this series)
