Unconditional 2011

Samantha is an author and illustrator of storybooks for children.  She loses her way and falls into extreme sadness when her husband Billy is senselessly murdered.  The only thing she can think about is finding the person responsible.  She calls the investigator on the case with new leads but he rebuffs her every effort.  She decides to end her life but everything she plans takes an unexpected twist instead.
This is good with an inside view into the lives of relatable people with a lot of problems.  Some of their problems are due to circumstances and others because of  their environment.  It has a good message that doesn’t taste like strong medicine going down!  One person can be important in a community and the community can help just one person or many.   3 ½* (I liked this movie)

98 min, Bio directed by Brent McCorkie with Lynn Collins, Michael Ealy, Bruce McGill, Kwesi Boakye, Diego Klattenhoff, Cedric Pendleton, Emily Rollins, Danielle Lewis, Amanda Bailey, Michael Beasley, Lynn Becker.

Note:  Imdb 7.3 out of 10, 73% critic 87% audience on Rotten Tomatoes, Amazon 4.8* out of 5* with 770 reviews, Common Sense Media age 11+, 3* out of 5*, positive messages 3*, positive role models 4*, violence 3*, language 1*, drinking drugs smoking 2*.
Special Note:  Filmed in Nashville and at the Tennessee State Penitentiary located in Nashville, Tennessee.  This film is based on the true events in the life of Joe Bradford.  He dedicates his time helping inner city children that live in the projects.  He works to get them to see that they can have goals and hope for their lives.
