The Cradle Will Fall 2004

This film is based on a book by Mary Higgins Clark.  Katie DeMalo is assigned to investigate the suicide of a pregnant woman.  attorney and prosecutor Katie unwittingly becomes entangled in a complex mystery involving cheating husbands, strange doctors and murder.  Following a road accident, Katie is taken to the Westlake fertility clinic and she is treated by Dr. Highley.  He discovers she has inherited a serous condition that causes hemorrhaging.  Katie leaves the clinic and promises to consider the surgery he recommends.

Within just a short time span, Katie finds herself back at the clinic.  This time it is in a professional capacity looking into a murder.  A woman who had fertility treatments at the clinic and was seven months pregnant is found murdered.  Initially, the main suspect is the woman's cheating husband?  Later, evidence starts to point to the Westlake clinic?  One of the doctors had been fired previously from another clinic for malpractice.  5* (I liked this movie)
