Young and Innocent 1937

Robert Tisdall finds a dead woman at the shore, he goes for help but two women see him running away and they think he is the murderer.  The dead woman did not drown as first thought but she was strangled with the belt of a raincoat.  Of course, Robert had a raincoat but it was stolen while he was eating at a local café.
The old cars, the style of dress and the scenery of 1937 is wonderful to see.  Some of the filming took a lot of time, patience and talent because the latest in technology was not available.  Don’t forget to look for Hitchcock in one of the scenes.  3 ½* (I liked this movie)

83 min, Mystery directed by Alfred Hitchcock with Nova Pilbeam, Derrick de Marney, Percy Marmont, Edward Rigby, Mary Clare, John Longden, George Curzon, Basil Rathford.

Note:  Blockbuster 3*, imdb 7.1 out 10, 100% critic 63% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
