An investigation reveals that Jennifer and Roy were involved in a lucrative prostitution ring. Roy has been bringing women into the UK through his travel agency. His business partner Lambert states that he doesn’t know anything about this business? DCI Banks is not allowed to be involved on this case since it is about a close family member. DI Morton agrees to let Banks help in an advisory role. She warns Banks he may be in danger and he could be next to be killed? Banks seeks out Carmen, she is the face of the escort agency and she fronts the prostitution racket. Banks finds out that Carmen is pregnant and she is linked to a baby-selling arrangement. This revelation may hold a key to the double murders?
DCI Banks’ parents are devastated by the death of their youngest son. They need to get their feelings in place in order to be there for their eldest son and his grief. They do recommend that Banks keep the Porsche since he did enjoy the drive!! 5* (I like this series)

Special Note: Roy had gotten into waters that were too deep for him and the result was his murder. In the beginning of this investigation, it was an unknown that children were for sale? The murder motivations were much deeper than their original scope was known.
