After the discovery of a very dead body in Eric Morrison’s luggage, Frankie and Trudy team up with a reporter to clear the young man's name. The body is the son of Frankie’s former Signal Corps commander. Although Trudy has been more than a little suspicious of Eric, they take the case. But, soon they discover the young man isn’t as innocent as he’d like them to believe he is.
From a scrappy tent city to the lavish summer homes of the Toronto elite, the investigation illuminates a city in transition. The murderous lengths are discovered that people will go to in order to play a part in building the city of the future.
