The Other Woman 2011

The Other Woman (2011)    This movie has low reviews and it deserves them, Kudrow's jilted wife character is extremely harsh, always in the same bad mood and she could be a bar bouncer.  Portman deserves sympathy but her character is so shallow you just can't find the emotion.  This is a Lifetime movie dressed up with beautiful wealthy people.  It's just a same old story, you can only dredge up a little feeling for the fact that Portman lost a baby girl after just a few days and her father made a lot of mistakes.
Portman goes to work for Cohen, he leaves his marriage, they have a baby, they are trying to recover from their loss, deal with the ex-wife and attempt to do the right thing for Cohen's son, played by Tahan.  The step-son seems to be the only authentic person surrounded by paper doll cut-out people.  2* (I didn't like this movie)

102 min, Drama, directed by Don Roos with Natalie Portman, Scott Cohen, Lisa Kudrow, Charlie Tahan.

Note:  Blockbuster 2 1/2*, 6.3 out of 10 imdb, 37% critic 48% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
