The Last Mountain 2011

The Last Mountain
A coal mining corporation and a tiny community vie for the future of the last great mountain in Appalachia in a battle for the future of energy that affects us all.  The community wants to establish a wind farm that will pay back for many years to come, the coal company wants to explode the mountain to extract the coal.
Once again it's a big industry not regulated or prosecuted for it's negligence in preserving the environment or returning the area to any form related to it's previous state.  Money is the bottom line and the only thing that counts, the lives of people or their livelihood do not matter to anyone involved.  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

95 min, Doc directed by Bill Haney with Susan Bird, Don Blankenship, Ron Burris, Brother Joseph Byron, Antrim Caskey, Devra Lee Davis, Joshua Graupera, Robert Kennedy, Jr.

Note:  Not listed on Blockbuster, imdb 6.6 out of 10, 80% critic 83% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
