Mademoiselle Chambon 2009

Mademoiselle <SPAN id=    Jean is a burly blue-collar mason who lives with his wife and son in France.  Jean meets his son's teacher Veronique, she asks him to look at a window where she lives that is letting in a draft.  He replaces the window for her and becomes fascinated and drawn to her.  Veronique has a choice to make at the school, should she continue to change schools every year or take a position here and settle down.  She decides to stay but then circumstances with Jean begin to change.
As a viewer you want them both to just stop whatever they are doing and run away.  Jean doesn't need to hurt his wife and his son by changing everyone's lives, he can change his own life instead within the framework that he has.  Very quiet and understated.  3 1/2* (I liked this movie)

101 min, Drama directed by Stephane Brize with Sandrine Kiberlain, Vincent Lindon, Aure Atika, Jean-Marc Thibault, Arthur Le Houerou, Bruno Lochet, Abdallah Moundy.

Note:  Blockbuster 4*, imdb 7.0 out of 10, 82% critic 62% audience on Rotten Tomatoes.
